A 19th century oil painting on canvas of black and yellow chicks - several gathered together in a woven basket under a blue blanket. One chick stands outside pecking at a ladybug. Artwork in frame measures 14" high x 15" wide. Artwork is in good, 19th century condition - allover craquelure and a few very minor spots of loss. Original gilded frame is also in good, 19th century condition with scattered, age appropriate wear.
