A 19th century still life oil painting on board of peaches, figs and grapes by celebrated PAFA artist Anna Peale Sellers (American, 1824-1905). Signed and dated 1894 at lower right. Anna Peale Sellers studied in Rome during the 1860s, and at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia in 1876, 1877, and 1882. She was the granddaughter of Charles Wilson Peale (an American painter, and the first artist to provide authentic portraits of George Washington and other Revolutionary War heroes). Artwork in carved, original gilded frame measures 16.25" x 22.75". Artwork and frame are in very good, antique condition with scattered light wear, and a small area of loss at the bottom right corner of the painting.
