A delicate and detailed interior watercolor still life by Henry John Heros. Signed lower right. Dated lower left 1921. The attention to detail is incredible. Each flower petal, piece of fringe, and ornate detail in this room was painstakingly recreated. A tall blue and white vase overflows with large chrysanthemums, a smaller (Wedgwood?) blue and white vase sits in front of that. On either side are a stack of leather bound books, a candlestick and another blue and white bowl holding a smoking pipe. Billowing fringed floral curtains, and a tightly packed plate wall form the background. Under glass. Matted in ivory, and framed in gold. In frame the art measures 10" x 10.25".
