Marian D. Harris (American, 1904-1988) geometric abstract tabletop still life oil painting on board featuring apples, lemon, wine glass and decanter among other things. There is a scratched out label from the famous Plastic Club on Camac Street in Philadelphia. Founded in 1897 for women only, the Plastic Club is one of the oldest art clubs in the United States. Harris was a student of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) in Philadelphia. Additionally, she studied with Hugh Breckenridge in Gloucester, MA, and Wayman Adams in Elizabethtown, NJ. Artwork in solid wood, gold frame measures 22.5" x 26.5". Artwork and frame in very good condition with only light wear. Frame has a thin stable fizzure at lower left.
