A late 19th / early 20th century Philip Henry Rideout (British, 1850-1920) oil painting on board of a horse drawn carriage full of top-hatted gentlemen traversing a large puddle on a dirt road in the English countryside. An excited dog leading the way for the rest of the pack. Rideout is a well listed British artist known for his fox hunting and coaching scenes; his work is widely collected. Artwork in frame measures 11" x 19". Artwork in very good condition for its age. Thick, gold, wood frame is also in good condition for its age with minor scattered wear.
